It was another Crappie Tournament win for the father-son duo of Hayden and Dan Jeffries this past weekend, as the team got the Crappie Masters National Qualifier win at Grenada Lake, Mississippi on Saturday.
Team Jeffries went wire-to-wire in this tournament, leading from start to finish and weighing in a total of 40.16 pounds of fish over the two-day event. That beat the 2nd place team of Lamar Bunting (another Ozark angler) and Gene Neumeier by nearly 3.5 pounds.
During the Championship Saturday weigh-in at Grenada, Hayden Jeffries stated, “I fished the Ozark trolling rods all weekend. They really helped getting those big fish out of the shallow water.”
Even though he wasn’t trolling during the tournament, he was still able to use that Ozark Rods pole type to get the fish needed to win.
“We didn’t have a fish in two days that did not bite. Every fish we got on we were able to capitalize on, so that really helped.”
We here at Ozark would like to congratulate Hayden and Dan on yet another tournament win and are glad to hear that Ozark Rods helped secure that victory!
